2014 Chrism Mass at the Cathedral
Frances and Mary Ann went to the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral this evening to bring the Consecrated Oils back to St. E's. We go every year. The cathedral is crowded with people from all over the diocese. Most of the time, we end up on folding chairs in the back of the church even though we arrive an hour before Mass begins.
Apparently, people get there early in the afternoon and reserve their seats. Communion is distributed by priests and deacons, both in the front and in the rear of the church, which is where Frances and Mary Ann receive.
