Sunday Social Ministry Gathering, January 7, 2018 ~ Photos by EJCooley

Our presenter today was Kim Bobo, who worked with Barack Obama in Chicago when he was a community activist.

The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP) is a group that advocates economic and social justice in Virginia's policies and practices.  Learn, Pray, Act!  According to VICPP's information brochure, congregations can be effective in several ways:

  • Host an educational forum.
  • Organize a letter-writing opportunity.
  • Pray about justice issues.
  • Join Faith Advocacy Partners program - a way your congregation can partner with VICPP.
