Fr. Jim's Jots ~ 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, 7.5.2020, Including the 4th of July

Fr. Jim's Jots

Prayer for the 4th of July

Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God, who are perfect unity and true charity.  Watch over our Nation during this difficult time.  May we be united, as your Sons and Daughters turn to You with trust and perseverance to reject hatred and fear and walk as Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

I pray everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!

Updates:

Our 8:30 a.m. live, in person Mass will continue in Church on Sundays, until further notice.  You must practice social/physical distancing, wear a mask, give your contact information - in case someone who attends has the virus, and we can contact you.  There will be no music and you will receive Communion in your hands after you sanitize your hands.

Thanks for your kind and generous help to keep our ministries going, your E-giving and mailed envelopes has been a blessing.  Thank you!

Blessings,

Fr. Jim

P.S. On a personal note, my Mother, Patricia "Pat" Arsenault will be moving from Naples, Florida to Richmond at the end of July.  I am driving down to Florida and will help with the move.  I have been asked to get the coronavirus test and to quarantine myself for two weeks prior to this move which is July 20.  I will be away from Thursday, July 16 to July 22.

P.S.  If you would like to chat or celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, give me a call... Fr. Jim, cell 804-221-1508.
