Fr. Jim's Jots - Third Sunday of Easter - 4.18.2021

Third Sunday of Easter

Fr. Jim's Jots

Easter is a time of grace to believe in the Resurrection of Our Savior Jesus Christ.  Over the next weeks we will recall in the Gospels how Jesus is known to His Disciples in the breaking of the bread.  We as Roman Catholics are a Eucharistic people who receive Jesus in the Eucharist, our Holy Communion.

We are celebrating Mass at 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.  If you have received your COVID vaccines and it is more than two weeks since your last shot, please consider returning to Church.  We are still practicing social distancing and wearing masks, but it is safe.  If you have NOT received your COVID-19 vaccines, please wait and return after your shots.

Spring clean up: We are inviting you to help polish the pews, dust everything, vacuum the Church, etc.  I am asking the Community Life Committee to pick a date and clean/discard unused items in the parish hall kitchen and tidy up our kitchen.  Outside we can pick up any trash, sticks, and improve our parish grounds.  HOW ABOUT MAY1st for our SPRING CLEAN UP DATE? (10 a.m. - Noon)

Don't forget on May 2nd, we are having a special intention Mass at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for COVID-19 family and friends who have died - in church or on Zoom. Please during the homily, hold a picture of your loved one and state their name or names.

Blessings,

Fr. Jim
