Fr. Jim's Jots - Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

 Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

February 20, 2022

Fr. Jim's Jots

Greetings!

Special Thanks to all who participated and helped with the celebration of Msgr. Carr's 80th Birthday at St. Elizabeth's last week.  It was nice to have several visitors from St. Bridget's, Msgr. Carr's former parish, where he was pastor for many years.  We are honored that he celebrates Mass and is a frequent visitor at our parish.

We are already halfway through February, Black History Month.  How blessed we have been to hear the stories and reflections of Sr. Cora Marie, Cathy Woodson, this week, Sr. Tiberh and next week, Vivian Sullivan.  May we continue to hold onto these messages and work together to better our community.

The World Synod 2021-2022 is underway and the Pope and Bishops want to hear from YOU!!  Please check out our announcements, website and get Synod packets in the back of church, at the parish office or by interview with Anne Gibbons.  We also have the options for our different groups:  Parish and Finance councils, Youth synod session, Justice session, RCIA session, UMOJA session and LGBTQ session.  See the flyer or website for these options and for more details!  Your thoughts and input are needed and welcomed.

+ Blessings for the New Year +

Fr. Jim
