FATHER JIM'S JOTS
Greetings!!
In October, we celebrate the Month of the Rosary. Each Sunday, a couple of families will take home a statue of Mary and return it the following Sunday. Let us make an effort to pray the Rosary this month.
I am asking for your prayers and help. We need folks to join our OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (formerly known as RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.)
If you have questions about the Catholic Church, the OCIA is for You...
If you are married to a spouse who is Catholic, the OCIA is for You...
If you have children who have been baptized Catholic, the OCIA is for You...
If you are a Catholic but have never been confirmed, the OCIA is for You...
Please contact Chris or Beng Metzger at metzger.christopher@gmail.com or call the parish office.
Please keep the Priests of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond in your prayers this week. We are having our annual priest convocation meeting with the Bishop.
Also save the date for the October Centennial Event - Italian Dinner on Saturday, October 21st. This event is open to all parishioners, free of charge. Dinner will be served from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. so you may arrive whenever it is convenient for you. The goal of this Centennial Anniversary event is to celebrate the history of past Italian Dinners at St. Elizabeth's. All are invited!
Blessings,
Fr. Jim
