Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Fr. Jim's Jots

The month of November is flying by as we continue to remember Black Catholic History Month.  A special thanks to Tinika and Igor who spoke the first week and Adrien, last week.  This Sunday Larry Williford and next week, Mary Walker.  Thanks for sharing your stories.  We are blessed to have such a rich history of our Black Parishioners.  Thank you, Sister Cora Marie, for helping with the questions.

Advent begin November 29th.  We have four families who are inviting us to their homes to light the Advent Wreath each Sunday during Lent.  Thanks to all for helping prepare for the coming of Christ and the Christmas season.

On November 21st, you are invited to stop by the parish parking lot to pick up your copy of Reading God's Word for 2021, a calendar for 2021 and an updated directory of parishioners and your parish envelopes.  We will be giving details in the near future.

During the time of the Corona Virus, please be safe and wear a mask, practice social/physical distancing and wash your hands.  I am doing yet another funeral this Monday, November 16th of a long time friend who was the owner of an Italian restaurant in West Point, who died of the virus.  Please be safe.

Blessings,

Fr. Jim
