Fr. Jim's Jots - Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - August 1, 2021

Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

August 1 2021

Fr. Jim's Jots

Greetings!

I keep praying that a few more folks attend noon Mass on Wednesdays and Fridays.  It is very important for all of us to take the time to pray daily.  We are a Church that believes in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.  Pray for our troubled world and country.  If your schedule permits, join us for noon Mass on Wednesdays or Fridays.

We have a number of folks who are sick and in some cases have died.  Pray for their healing, the comfort of Christ and the sacraments of the Church.  If you would like to receive a home or hospital visit, call the parish office 804-329-4599 or my cell phone number 804-221-1508.

If you are in the Church vestibule, you will notice the black and white painted squares were damaged.  It was from the tape we used to mark the floor for COVID precautions.  I contacted Holtz painters.  They will repair the floor and stain the front doors of the Church to protect them from the direct sunlight.

I look forward to the popcorn sale coming up in August.  Please support this important parish fundraiser.  It will raise the money we usually raise with the Jazz Festival.

Blessings,

Fr. Jim
