Fr. Jim's Jots

Greetings!

May all our students of every education level have a safe and enjoyable school year.  I am asking all families to fill out the registration form for Religious Education.  The forms are in the back of Church and you can email Liz Wiznerowicz at liz.rva@gmail.com for a virtual form.

Parents are asked to attend monthly classes under the direction of Rita Hatchett.  Rita has agreed to be our Adult Faith Formation Coordinator.  We thank Rita for helping with our adults with her Scripture classes and now with the formation of parents who have children in Religious Ed.

We are updating our prayers for the sick and have removed a number of names.  If you wish to have your family member or friend who is sick to be on our prayers lists, please contact the parish office.

Mass intentions: If you wish to have a loved one or friend remembered during the prayers of the faithful who is deceased or living, please contact the parish office for a specific date of their anniversary or birthday and we will try to accommodate your request.

As the summer ends and the fall schedule of activities begin, please take time to pray.  Our parish, our country and our world sure need our prayers for Peace and Unity.  Also consider attending Mass at noon on Wednesday's and Friday's; Confessions are after Mass on weekdays.
