Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 4, 2022
Fr. Jim's Jots
Greetings!
Next weekend we will be having our Ministry Fair on September 11th, after the 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Masses. Please visit the parish hall and sign up to volunteer for a ministry. We need help in all areas. It's a great opportunity to meet new parishioners and help the parish at the same time.
We will be having coffee and donuts.
Several folks have asked for Sister Tiberh's new address. It is Sister Tiberh Hagos, 5121 S. University Ave., Chicago, Illinois, 60615. Please feel free to send Sister a card or note to let her know that she remains in your thoughts and prayers.
This Labor Day weekend is the start of school for most students. Please keep all students in your thoughts and prayers.
Blessed are you Lord God.
Creator of body, mind and Heart;
You have sent the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge
To guide your people in all their ways.
At the beginning of this new school year
We implore your mercy.
Bless the students, teachers and staff
That together we may grow in faith, hope and love.
And dear Lord, keep them safe. Amen.
Blessings and Happy Labor Day,
Fr. Jim
