Fr. Jim's Jots - Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - July 24, 2022

Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

July 24, 2022

Fr. Jim's Jots

Greetings!

Every Sunday Mass at St. Elizabeth is like a revival with our joyful and loving spirit, our talented and dedicated choir, and your participation, together with the Real Presence in Word and the Blessed Sacrament "Holy Communion".

The Church is starting a newly initiated three-year National Eucharistic Revival announced by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops that began last month on the Feast of Corpus Christi (the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ).

We need your help to have St. Elizabeth be part of this special revival.  Please be faithful to your attendance at Mass, Eucharistic participation, prayerful devotion before the Blessed Sacrament.

Our parish is reviving our ministry of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound after a two-year lapse for the sake of public health.  Your help is needed.

If you are homebound and would like to have one of our ministers of Communion visit your home once or twice a month, then please let me or Deacon Chris know.  Also let one of us know if you might feel called to serve as Eucharistic minister to bring Holy Communion to the Sick at the hospital or their home.  We are reviving this ministry and are looking for volunteers.

To contact Deacon Chris, please call him at (804) 266-3596 or call the Parish Office at (804) 329-4599.

+ Fr. Jim Arsenault, Pastor
