Season of Creation

FATHER JIM'S JOTS

Greetings!!

As a parish community, it has been a delight to celebrate the "Season of Creation." Special thanks to Sister Anns for introducing us to this Global and Ecumenical call to action to care for our common home.  Thank you to all of the kids who dressed up as bugs and fish this Sunday to celebrate God's creation

The Children of St. Elizabeth Church

Celebrating the Season Of Creation

A coalition of U.S. Catholic organizations are calling on the Biden administration to use debt relief for countries "most vulnerable to the impacts of a rapidly heating world." One of the tools available to us as parishioners of St. Elizabeth's is the letter endorsed and being circulated by Catholic Climate Covenant (formed with the help of the U.S. Bishops' Conference) along with several other Catholic groups.  To add your name to the letter, please see the link in the E-Bulletin.

A very special thank you to all of the St. Elizabeth Gospel Choir for their wonderful performance last week in honor of the 45th Anniversary of the choir.  The music was amazing, the church was full and the reception afterwards was fantastic.  Thank you to the choir and to all who helped make this wonderful event such a success!!

As today is the first Sunday in October, we will be celebrating the Month of the Rosary.  Each Sunday, a couple of families will take home a statue of Mary and return it the following Sunday.  Let us make an effort to pray the rosary this month.

On the first Friday of every month, starting October 6th, we will have an hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament following Mass at noon.

Blessings,

Fr. Jim
