Advent Christian Education at the Willifords

I wasn't able to make it to the Christian Education gathering at the Williford's last Sunday after Mass. Can someone fill us in on what was covered? That will help those of us who cannot come for one reason or another to receive some benefit too. Thanks.

Mary Ann, I did attend the Advent session the FIRST Sunday. There were about 9 of us there.
Cathy gave us a schedule & some topics we would discuss in future sessions. Our Resources will be "AT HOME WITH THE WORD" & our little "BLUE BOOK"...the first Sunday, we discussed Fr. Andrew's homily; and the three comings of Christ--as a baby in Bethlehem, at the end of time, & His coming into the heart of each believer. We shared words & images that we associated with the pre-Christmas season. I wasn't at the session this past Sunday, Dec. 10th.but heard that it was well attended and very inspirational. I plan to attend next two though. My thanks go out to the Willifords for hosting this.

Thanks, Ronnie, for giving us an excellent report of the first Advent Christian Ed gathering. Those of us who are unable to attend are surely grateful for your description.

Ronnie, thanks for sharing your comments about the Adult Faith Formation gathering. On December 10th, we had about 15 people in attendance. Those attending seem to enjoy the opportunity to reflect on the homily as well as the readings and reflections in At Home with the Word and the little "Blue Book". All encouraged to come and share their reflections, questions and any comments. This is the first year we have met after liturgy and I enjoyed listening to the reflections on Fr. Andrew's homily. Everyone is welcomed. Please come and share -- hats off to the Willifords for opening their doors for the sessions.
