Greetings and Blessings to you all!

I hope the weather will start to be a little cooler and we can settle into the new school year with safety and hope for a blessed year.  I wish to thank Marie Masse', our parish representative at Overby-Sheppard Elementary, and all who have helped collect school supplies for our neighborhood school.  I am sure they will be put to good use.

Special thanks to all who are participating in the Popcorn Fundraiser.  Today is the last day, so I hope you are able to use the link and support our parish with this much needed fundraiser.

Did you know the statue of Mary in the back of the Church is of St. Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help?  This image was first depicted in a 15th century Byzantine icon.  This icon painting of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is perhaps the most widely recognized icon in the world.  This devotion to OLPH was very popular during WWII when families would attend weekly devotions to pray for the end of the war and for the safe return of family members in the armed forces.  During this difficult time with so many challenges, please pray to Our Lady of Perpetual Help to guide our daily actions to be that of peace and love.  Join us for daily Mass at Noon on Wednesday and Friday, and light a candle for yourself and your family.  We also have candle stands in front of the St. Joseph statue and Christ on our Cross.
