Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 26, 2021
Fr. Jim's Jots
Greetings and Blessings to you and your family!
The Month of September is flying by and we have been blessed to face challenges with a spirit of hope and optimism.
Special thanks to our parishioners who are involved in RISC. This non-partisan, ecumenical group challenges our community to better serve our city and neighboring communities to help with affordable housing and sensible gun legislation. Please check your schedule and attend a home meeting for RISC. The schedule is listed on our website.
Please join other members of our parish to pray the Rosary on Saturday, October 16th ay 12 noon on the front steps of the Church. What a great way to join thousands of parishes around the country. This sure is a year to come together to ask the Blessed Mother to intercede for our Country and World. We will be praying for healing, peace and racial justice. Please join us for this special event.
The R.C.I.A., Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is starting up this Fall. We are looking for friends and family members of the parish who are NOT Catholic and would like to learn more about the Catholic Faith and perhaps become an active Catholic member. Adult Catholics who would like to receive the Sacrament of Conformation or would like to be a sponsor, please contact Chris or Beng Metzger at Metzger.christopher@gmail.com or call 646-234-5159, or the parish office at 804-329-4599.
Blessings,
Fr. Jim
