Well, my take is this: Sundays are not considered one of the 40 days of Lent; thus you can take a break from whatever you have given up. Saturday, of course, is a lenten day so you'll just have to tough it out until Sunday. Of course, it's the spirit of the sacrifice that matters. Even if you falter during the week, there is always a next day to try again.

I am really enjoying this blog stuff, it so refreshing

If people have questions, this is a good place to discuss them. Email me if anyone wants to write an article about a church-related event that you have attended or that will occur.
This blog has a lot of potential. We just have to figure out how to use it.
I miss mass yesterday,what were the readings,and what else is going on this week
I'll see if I can get someone to write about the homily that Monsignor Barrett gave on the readings connecting to Black History Month. He was excellent.
can someone explain duties of eucharistic ministry because this will be new to me.
