Greetings!

This weekend, we welcome Fr. Earnest, the pastor of St. Ann's parish in Colonial Heights.  Fr. Earnest will celebrate our 10 a.m. Mass in Swahili and English.  Please give Fr. Earnest a warm welcome and thank you for being open to this bilingual Mass.  I will be at St. Ann's parish in Colonial Heights as the celebrant for their 11:15 a.m. Mass.

Special thanks to Liz and all the students and volunteers who have helped with our Saturday school to help students catch up in reading and math.  What an outstanding program that is truly making a difference in the lives of our young people.  Also special thanks to Sister Mary who is meeting with adults who speak Swahili to help welcome and walk with these families.  Thank you, Sister Mary.

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday.  We will have Blessing of the Palms and their distribution at the 8:30 a.m. and the 10 a.m. Mass.

 Fourth Sunday of Lent

March 19, 2023

FR. JIM'S JOTS

Greetings!

You're invited to celebrate the sacrament of confession on Saturday, March 25th.

Confession will start at noon and a light lunch of soup will be served afterwards.  Please join us for food and fellowship with the Saturday School and meet the crew!  And perhaps, you may wish to help in the Future.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments; but most of all, because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin.  Amen.

Lenten Blessings,

Fr. Jim Arsenault, Pastor
