Black History Month Choir Concert at Bethany Baptist Church, Montpelier
On Sunday afternoon, February 23rd, the St. Elizabeth Gospel Choir was in concert for Bethany Baptist Church's 2013 Black History Month Program. Speaker for this event was The Honorable Judge Roger L. Gregory, the first black judge to serve on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Worship leader was our own parishioner, Cathy Woodson. Mother and daughter, Carla Smith and Justice Derricott performed a beautiful Praise Dance as part of the program.
Bethany's program director had seen our choir perform last year on TV and decided to invite us to provide the music for this year's event.
We were very well received by the congregation and its pastor, Rev. Patrick H. Jones. Several of our own parishioners attended to support their choir members.
