FATHER JIM'S JOTS

Greetings!!

Today marks the first Sunday of May..  This is the month of Mary and in honor of her we crown our statues of Mary (inside by the front of the church and outside in our side garden).  On this first Sunday of May, seventeen of our children are also receiving their First Holy Communion.

Congratulations to Thomas, Fadhili, Ashlay, Gus, Bishop, Gabriel, Jeanson, Ignacio, Aaron, Sela, Zelda, Anjolie, Arianne, Lesby, Emely, Emanuella Grace and Cynthia!

Thank you to all of their parents who have worked with them on formation at home as well as bringing them to class.  Special Thanks to Liz Wiznerowicz and Denise Letendre for leading First Communion classes for all of these children.  We have a "First Communion Closet" where children can use donated dresses, shoes, pants, ties, etc. for these special occasions.  Thank you to Erin Cleary who organized and prepared the outfits from our closet as well as for being our photographer this Sunday!  Lastly, thank you to Barbara Williford for supplying cake for the reception.

Easter Blessings to you and yours,

Fr. Jim, Pastor

Fr. Jim's Jots - 2nd Sunday of Easter, 4.28.2019

Fr. Jim's Jots

Greetings!

Congratulations to Thaddeus Haines, Charles Geissler, Nora Sturdervant, Ryan Sturdevant, Sandrine Uwineza, Fabrice Niyitanga, Remy Shishi, Magdeleine Shishi and Benjamin Shishi.  How wonderful it is to have so many young people receive their First Holy Communion!

Special thanks to the parents of our youngsters and their teachers, Almetia Strother, Liz Wiznerowicz and Annie McEntee.  I am so happy to have such a nice group of young people to celebrate this important sacrament and to welcome the Lord Jesus into their lives.  May you all be blessed and close to Christ and the Eucharist all the days of your lives.

Thanks to all who worked so hard to have Holy Week and our Easter Liturgies so prayerful and beautiful.  We are blessed with our Gospel Choir, Lectors, Ministers of the Eucharist, Altar Servers, Connie Hom, Janet Stern, E. J. Cooley and all who decorated.  Thanks to Donna Gorman for the purple covering of the statues and Eddie Gorman, for hanging them and fixing the pews.  Special thanks to The Community Life Committee for the receptions and a special thank you to Deacon Chris Barrett.

Easter Joy,

Fr. Jim Arsenault
